Sheep Mountain Table is one of the best "unknown" sites in the country.
The Traveling Morgans rate it in our "Top Ten Locations On the Road Less Traveled".
It is surely slated for development in the future, but for now it is accessible by high ground clearance vehicles when the ground is dry.
Sheep Mountain Table is a mesa.
Access is limited to a rutted dirt road that appears not to be maintained at all. You will need a high-clearance vehicle. We never needed 4 wheel drive.
There are NO conveniences of any type. Not even a pit toilet or drinking water.
You are rewarded with spectacular views and an unspoiled area. Dogs are allowed.
