H. L. Hunley (submarine)

The first submarine to sink an enemy ship was the H. L Hunley. The Hunley was raised in 2000 by a consortium that included author Clive Cussler.

The Hunley is on display in North Charleston, South Carolina, at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center on the Cooper River. The ship is kept in a water tank and is hard to see and photograph.

In 2014, we were staying in our RV at Walterborough when an Ice Storm left us without power for nearly two weeks. Thankfully our generators worked well.
